Chris Hanley
The Principal Broker and co-owner, along with wife Kerri, of Farchette and Hanley Real Estate, Chris Hanley has had his Broker’s license for 20 years. His experience with St. Croix real estate stretches back much farther than that, however, and actually started when he was still very young.
“I grew up in this business,” Chris explains, “as my mother, who was then the owner of Farchette & Hanley Real Estate, has been selling St. Croix real estate since I was a kid.”
Thus Chris absorbed more than a few useful things while he was growing up, including the history of ownership of many of the properties strewn throughout the island. His knowledge of individual properties, as well as each cove and hilltop on St. Croix, equips him with valuable information and insight when listing and selling property.
Chris jumped straight into the world of real estate immediately after finishing his bachelor’s degree in marketing from Bentley College. “The St. Croix real estate market is something that I live every day,” he says.

Kerri Hanley
With husband, Chris, Realtor Kerri Hanley is the co-owner of Farchette & Hanley Real Estate, which they have been operating as a team since 1993. A seasoned professional, Kerri has been a licensed Realtor for nearly 20 years and has a deep familiarity with the entire real estate process.
Kerri specializes in crafting creative, effective marketing strategies for the St. Croix properties that Chris represents. Holding a bachelor’s degree in marketing from West Virginia University, as well as having more than a decade’s worth of hands-on experience, Kerri knows the most efficient and successful methods to achieve maximum exposure for each listing.
With her expertise in marketing, Kerri is editor of the annual Farchette and Hanley real estate magazine, which showcases all the firm’s properties. This publication is distributed worldwide via the internet, and is also marketed with 20,000 hard copies, as well.

Katie Buitenhek has been a resident of St. Croix for almost 3 years. She moved here from San Diego, CA where she was born and raised. She attended San Diego State University where she graduated in 2004 with a degree in Communication/Media Management and a minor in Spanish.
From college she went into the event planning field in San Diego working for Marriott Hotels and Resorts and then worked as a third party event planner for major companies like Sony, MacAfee, and FedEx.
At the beginning of 2009 Katie moved to St. Croix to “try something new!” For almost two years on island she worked as a full time server with part time positions in event planning and at a local coffee shop. Then in September of 2010 she had the opportunity to start as the full time assistant to Chris and Kerri Hanley.
My Great Uncle actually owned real estate on St. Thomas as well as all over the world so real estate has been an interest of mine ever since I was a little girl. I am absolutely thrilled to be a part of the Farchette & Hanley Team!
