This Friday, May 1 from 6 to 10 p.m. AZ Academy will host its sixth annual Jail-or-Bail Fundraiser.  It will take place during Jump-Up on Strand Street in Christiansted (across from Crucian Gold).  Prominent members of the St. Croix community are “locked up” in a mock jail until they can make bail.  To do so, they must solicit donations to the school from friends, family and passersby.  The bail amounts are preset to raise scholarship and financial aid funding for students.  Last year the event raised more than $30,000 for the school.  AZ Academy is a private school for students from pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade.

This year’s “jailbirds” include the following St. Croix residents.  Click on a name to make an online donation to the person’s bail.  More information on the event may be found on its Facebook page or the school website.
