“Married at First Sight” Episodes Filmed on St. Croix Air

The reality television show “Married at First Sight” on the A&E channel aired the second of two episodes filmed on St. Croix this week.  Season three of the show filmed parts of episodes three (“wedding night”) and four (“honeymoons”) on-island.  Newlywed couple Neil and Samantha stayed at The Buccaneer Hotel.

If you’d like to partake in the some of the excursions you saw on the show, the couple:

– Sailed / snorkeled with Jolly Roger Charters

– Took at ATV tour of the rain forest and west end with Gecko Island Adventures

– Watched Independence Day fireworks shot from the Frederiksted pier

When the couple were first given their honeymoon destination, Samantha was laughably confused about where St. Croix might be located and what language may be spoken there.  This confusion is common with all the “saint” island names in the Caribbean.  Just to clarify, it is one of the U.S. Virgin Islands and the official language is English.

The couple certainly didn’t act like honeymooners and their trip didn’t exactly go as hoped, with their first major fight starting while playing tether-ball on the beach at The Buccaneer.  Samantha also had serious tooth pain and needed dental work, so she made a visit to Tooth Works in the Gallows Bay area.  When returning from the fireworks in Frederiksted, Samantha forgot that she should be driving on the left and had a near head-on collision in their rental car.  But the incident apparently bonded the couple, as Samantha credited Neil’s calm demeanor correcting her lane error with saving her life.
