Christmas Cookie Exchange

The Blue Mutt on Company Street in Christiansted hosts an annual Christmas cookie exchange to benefit the St. Croix Animal Welfare Center.  A box of cookies may be purchased for $20 which includes a baker’s dozen of assorted cookies, or grab just one for $2.  All the cookies are fresh baked from scratch by volunteers.  This year the event is being hosted in conjunction with Art Thursday on December 18 from 5 to 8 p.m.

Gallows Bay Holiday Festival

Santa makes a visit to Undercover Books & Gifts or The Bistro annually to take photos with St. Croix children, taken by Photographer Quiana Adams.  Donations for the photos are collected to benefit the Queen Louise Home for Children, an extension of Lutheran Social Services and the Department of Human Services.  The Cruzan Cowgirls also wrap gifts for donations benefiting their equine rescue.  This year the event was held Wednesday, December 10 from 5 to 7 p.m.

Garden Christmas Gala

The St. George Village Botanical Garden hosts an annual Christmas gala, their most impacting annual fundraiser.  The event centers around live Christmas trees, sponsored and decorated by local businesses with various themes.  The trees are auctioned off, along with a host of live and silent auction items.  A formal dinner is also served.  This year the event was held Friday, December 5 from 6 to 11 p.m.

Holiday Hope Benefit

Toys for Tots, The Boys & Girls Club of the Virgin Islands, Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of the Virgin Islands, and the Patrick Henry Hospitality Scholarship Fund are the co-beneficiaries of Holiday Hope.  Hosted by the St. Croix Hotel & Tourism Association at The Palms at Pelican Cove, this is a fun evening of food, drinks, auctions and live music.  New, unwrapped toys are collected for the Marine Corps’ Toys for Tots.  This year the event took place Thursday, December 4 from 6 to 10 p.m.
