St. Croix: A Popular Destination for Commercial Shoots, Vacationing Celebrities

St. Croix is known as the sleepy island among the U.S. Virgin Islands.  The largest, less populated, slow-paced place.  Ideal for celebrities and politicos looking for a private getaway.  Or for companies looking to shoot in a pristine Caribbean location, picturesque St. Croix doesn’t disappoint.  Here are a few recent visitors and companies who have chosen St. Croix as their ideal location:

PBK

Pottery Barn Kids

In January 2014 Pottery Barn Kids was on-island to photograph their summer catalog.  The company selected St. Croix children to feature in the pictures, which were taken at private estates and beaches.

Home and Garden Television

Home and Garden Television (HGTV) is currently premiering new episodes of Caribbean Life, season two.  St. Croix was chosen as the shooting location for four episodes this season and two episodes of season one (among only four selected destinations).  The island was also featured recently on Beach Front Bargain Hunt.

The U.S. Virgin Islands Department of Tourism recently shot a beautiful commercial on all three islands, with some particularly beautiful footage on St. Croix.  It currently airs nationally on channels including CNN and affiliates of ABC, NBC, CBS and FOX.
