In 2014, Sylvester was the first runner-up in this and the Miss Virgin Islands scholarship competition.  She competed for the title of Miss St. Croix 2015-2016 and was awarded the first runner-up prize.  Sylvester has a strong group of supporters in the local pageant community, which enthusiastically received her win over the weekend.  Her talent is vocal performance. Sylvester is a professional make-up artist.  She is a regular on the Caribbean Community Theatre stage, where in recent years she appeared in the musicals RENT and Dream Girls.  Sylvester was born and raised on St. Croix where she graduated from Central High School.

In the past, she championed the cause of anti-bullying as her platform.  According to Sylvester, “I’m now more focused on uplifting the mindset of ethnic men and women everywhere.  With those causes combined, I hope to one day see a more productive and thriving ethnic community here in the U.S. Virgin Islands and abroad.”
