Earlier this month, Un Amore Italian restaurant opened at the five corners intersection west of Christiansted.  One of St. Croix’s favorite culinary teams is behind the endeavor, Frank and Katherine Pugliese.  Whether you’re seeking a simple / authentic pizza, an elaborate Italian feast, or a fabulous glass of wine, Un Amore’s offerings satisfy.  Since the closure of the beloved Tutto Bene Italian restaurant last year, St. Croix residents have been eager to have another Italian option.

On the Un Amore menu, you’ll find antipasti selections including local eggplant and fresh mussels.  Several salad options include kale and arugula.  Pasta choices range from classic bolognese, to Chef Frank’s ravioli filled with mushrooms.  The pizza section of the menu is the most expansive.  Classic options include margherita and quatro formaggio, or you can select custom toppings like capers and broccolinni.  Entree choices have something for everyone including fresh fish, veal, lamb, and chicken.  Don’t forget a tasty side like roasted potatoes and a tasty cannoli for dessert.

Un Amore proprietor Katherine Pugliese is a co-founder of the St. Croix Food and Wine Experience, an annual fundraiser for the St. Croix Foundation and on the Forbes Travel list of top international food and wine festivals.

Un Amore is located at 5 Corners open Tuesday through Sunday from 5 to 9 p.m.  Reservations available at 340-692-9922.  To go orders are also an option.
