Valentine’s Day on St. Croix: Gift Guide

St. Croix is a fabulous place to spend a romantic Valentine’s Day.  You couldn’t ask for a more pleasant environment, with gorgeous weather just as most of the U.S. mainland experiences harsh winter.  The white sand beaches and turquoise ocean water make it the ideal place to get engaged or celebrate the year of a significant anniversary.

The Jump-Up event hosted by the Christiansted Retail and Restaurant Association is a great chance to shop town retailers, plus visit tents and tables of local artisans. This year Valentine’s Jump-Up is being held on Friday, February 13 starting at 5 p.m.

Here are the retailers you need-to-know to shop for your sweetheart:

  • Crucian Gold is best known for their love knot and turkshead weave designs.  Also a great resource for Chaney jewelry.
  • Island Boy (ib) Designs is most commonly recognized for their hammered silver bracelets
  • Sonya’s Limited is the creator of the original St. Croix hook bracelet
  • Nelthropp & Low is a high-end retailer of diamonds and a variety of jewelry

Try Wild Orchid at Barren Spot Mall mid-island or contact Antilles Lilies

Shop Steele’s Smokes & Sweets on Strand Street near the intersection of Queen Cross Street in Christiansted for chocolates and more

Visit Reliable Rentals / Create-A-Party on the south shore near the refinery
